Why The Academy Loves RMs
Have you seen our billboard?
Did you serve an LDS mission in Brazil, Mexico, or the Philippines?
What is your native companion doing to lift himself out of poverty?
Fact:
1. Almost all of the Academy students in Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines come from impoverished homes and over 70% have never had a steady income.
2. Many have been forced to move away from their families to find work and are stuck in dead end jobs that require long hours and Sunday work.
3. Many of our native mission companions struggle daily to provide for their family.
Solution:
The Academy for Creating Enterprise is a non-profit organization that provides returned missionaries with the skills, hope, and motivation that enable them to launch and grow MicroEnterprise businesses in areas were traditional jobs are not generally available. These businesses enable Academy graduates and those they employ to become more self-reliant so they can serve in their communities, the church, and bless their families.
This documentary describes in more detail the effect the Academy has on YOUR mission companions.
A little money goes a long way in teaching your mission companions how to become self-reliant. Start making an impact today!
